The Rescuers (New York Review Books Children's Collection)
MISS BIANCA IS A WHITE MOUSE OF GREAT BEAUTY and supreme self-confidence, who, courtesy of her excellent young friend, the ambassador’s son, resides luxuriously in a porcelain pagoda painted with violets, primroses, and lilies of the valley. Miss Bianca would seem to be a pampered creature, and not, you would suppose, the mouse to dispatch on an especially challenging and extraordinarily perilous mission. However, it is precisely Miss Bianca that the Prisoners’ Aid Society picks for the job of rescuing a Norwegian poet imprisoned in the legendarily dreadful Black Castle (we all know, don’t we, that mice are the friends of prisoners, tending to their needs in dungeons and oubliettes everywhere). Miss Bianca, after all, is a poet too, and in any case she is due to travel any day now by diplomatic pouch to Norway.

I have to write a book review on the children's novel, "also known as Harper", what is a good way to begin?
I am not asking for a whole summary, i just need a good opening sentence that draws the reader in.I have been working forever but can not get one.... any suggestions?
Harper's escape is poetry. When she wants to forget about her father leaving her family, when she wants to forget about the money problems falling on her mother's shoulders, when she wants to forget all the responsibilities that she now has to deal with, and when she wants to forget about her family's eviction, Harper writes poetry. something along those lines?
D'Aulaires' Book of Trolls (New York Review Children's Collection)
In this spectacular follow-up to their beloved Book of Norse Myths, the husband-and-wife team of Ingri and Edgar Parin d’Aulaire explore the uncanny reaches of Norse mythology, an enchanted night-world populated by trolls of all kinds—mountain trolls, forest trolls, trolls who live underwater and trolls who live under bridges, uncouth, unkempt, unbreakable, unforgettable, and invariably unbelievably ugly trolls—who work their wiles and carry on in the most bizarre and entertaining fashions. With their matchless talent as storytellers and illustrators, the d’Aulaires bring to life the weird and wonderful world of Norse mythology.

Which of these titles do you like best?
I'm putting together a blog for reviews of children books. I'm not quite sure what titles to use. I want to make it allow people to know what it's about and I want it to engage people into reading the website and I don't want, when you type it in, to have a bunch of results. which of these really stand out to you?:

Why is the New York Times spoiling the new 'Harry Potter' book for Children and others?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070719/us_nm/arts_potter_review_dc
I have never read any of the Harry Potter books, but why would the NYTs want to spoil the book for people?
Underground Man: Thats why I have "and others"
Underground Man: But what if there were children out there that read the NYTs? Are you saying children don't have the intelligence to read the NYTs? I just didn't want to offend any children that do read the NYTs. Sorry if I offended you in the process.
Oh, and like mymaria281 said, it's not just children who read the books.
moni: I was just going by what the writer of the book said.
Don't know why they do it, really has me upset. I love the books and can't wait to read it, but won't be able to read it all at once so i'll have to avoid any type of news on the subject...doesn't sound too easy. Book 6 was spoiled for me before i even got to buy it; and i bought it the same day it came out :( I think a lot of people posting on this question need to realize that not only children ready Harry Potter!
